Bella Notte

Dinner. Pasta with brocolli and garlic and oil, and I added sausage and hot red pepper flakes: very good.

This place is a hidden gem, and has an enormous upstairs dining room.

Dinner, delivery. Egg rolls: surprisingly delicious -- crispy, not soggy or cake-y/batter-y. Wonton soup: delicious as always. General tso chicken: pretty good, breading was a little mushy ... quite spicy. Chicken w/ green beans: good, a little mushy. Free chicken fried rice: good.

Wildfire

Dinner party.

Bacon wrapped gulf shrimp: delicious. Mini crab cakes: delicious. Prime rib w/ horseradish cream on toast points: delicious.

Jumbo shrimp cocktail: surprising good, slightly spicy cocktail sauce was nice.

Caesar salad: delicious. Spinach salad w/ bacon and stuff: delicious.

Filet mignon, medium: delicious. Cedar plank salmon: OK. Redskin mashed potatoes: very good.

Peanut butter pie: like a delicious Reese's peanut butter cup, with delicious crust and whipped cream. Key lime pie: good.

Service was excellent.

Dinner. Spring rolls: vile ... cardboard-thick skins, and goopy, thicker-than-molasses sauce. #4 entree, chicken and broccoli w/ world-famous peanut sauce: pretty good. Pad thai w/ chicken: bland ... noodles were gummy. Mamasuma (?) chicken curry: not bad, not curry-ish at all.

Downside of all of this: mild food poinsoning 14 hours later.
